this thing needs to be written, so I should just get it over with.
I really, really dislike writing synopses. I spent last night working on the synopsis for book two.

There are several reasons I really, really dislike writing synopses.

1. I can't make the book sound exciting.

2. Because of (1.) I then fear the book isn't interesting.

3. In fact, the book might be a complete failure.

4. And I'm not even finished with it yet.

5. More to the point, writing the synopsis when the book is not yet complete is a really good way to reveal the holes in the plot you've been conveniently overlooking up to this point, while involved in the million other elements of the novel.

Why can't the Synopsis Fairy descend on me?
