number games
I'm almost--almost--at 30,000 words. I've been basing my goal on the 100,000 words the actual novel requires, but my drafts are often shorter than final length because I have narrative in place of scenes. So if I tell myself my goal is 90,000 words, I'm a third finished with the draft.
These mental number games are ridiculous, yet really help me to keep motivated. |
