what I learned this week
This week, I learned another thing that can affect me sitting down to write: messiness. Well, I already knew that in some ways, but now I have a deeper understanding, because I've been "in progress" on some reorganizing for months now, and apparently that causes a nagging sense of disorder in my mind.
It sounds good, anyway!
So last night, instead of writing, I put some books in a box and vacummed up some dust. Usually, if the presence of Things To Do is bothering me, I take my laptop and go out, but I really didn't feel like hunting up a place to work when I'd been at my job all day, and got home late, and it was dark and cold, and the nearest coffee shop was going to close in an hour.
So, better tonight? I will try to make it so. At least work on the synopsis I have to turn in. |
