Should Aspiring Authors Establish a Web Presence? at Romancing the Blog.

From one of the comments, the free hosting I'm using temporarily at my domain is apparently a cheap thing to do, but I am cheap; I don't want to pay for months of a website when I have no content other than a bio and publications list. I won't have anything more until the book is closer to coming out. I console myself with the fact that the book is already sold; I am not using the site to attract an agent, but to appear in google searches, so when I do have real content, I will actually get hits.

I'm not going to go crazy with the website, either, not while I'm still writing.
