Lunacon 2008
Lunacon was fun, because I didn't pressure myself, but I still ended up doing some useful things. I handed out a few of the business cards with the book's title, publisher, and release date, as well as links to this blog and my email address. I also ended up in a long, amusing conversation about the eunuchs in The Duchess, Her Maid, The Groom and Their Lover, and historical eunuchs in general, at a Saturday night party--some friends of mine in the group were egging me on, and we got pretty absurd. I pointed out that the eunuchs in my book were only fun because Their Love is Forbidden. Well, forbidden for a few chapters, anyway. Given the kind of book this is, it didn't stop them for long.

One of the business cards went to a friend of a friend whom I met completely coincidentally when we shared a cab to the train station; I mention it because it turned out she had written for Harlequin at one time. Small world. Talk to everyone, and be amazed.
